Conflict and insecurity are major barriers to development in northern Kenya. CEH’s Peacebuilding and Good Governance program focuses on promoting peace and strengthening governance systems at the community level.
Program Goals:

  • Reduce conflict through dialogue, mediation, and peace education.
  • Strengthen local governance institutions to promote inclusive and transparent decision-making.
  • Empower youth and women to take leadership roles in peacebuilding and governance.

Key Activities:

Peacebuilding Dialogues: CEH facilitates peace dialogues between conflicting communities to resolve disputes and promote reconciliation.

Leadership Training: Local leaders and youth are trained in conflict resolution and good governance practices.

Peace Clubs: Youth are engaged through peace clubs that promote non-violence, civic engagement, and leadership development.

Establish connector projects
Support local administrations structures and strengthen their capacities.
Inclusion of women and girls in local governance
